Lucia Maz is a multi-faceted artist and writer who was forced into creation when her body was hijacked years ago by an invisible disorder. Initially, this catastrophic event seemed like a curse, but she soon came to realize that it was the initiation into her new vibrant art life. In the depths of despair she learned to listen to the voice of her muse; it has beckoned ever since. This nurturing of creativity has manifested itself in multifarious projects ranging from writing novels, shorties, and poetry, to leading creative collectives and helping others find their voice.
As a storyteller, Lucia plays with the intersection of reality and magic novels, short stories, and poetry. A Tiny Existence (a collection of shorties and poetry) was published on August 1st, 2025, and her debut novel, Basta, will follow shortly after on October 14th, 2025.
She is an indie author and a curious observer. As a hopeful enchantress, she hopes to awaken her readers by highlighting the conflicts presented to humanity, opening doors to the philosophical, and promoting understanding while broadening perspectives and encouraging civil discourse.
